ACCESS OM Dorval-Lachine-LaSalle (DLL) was recently featured on the “Montreal Families” website.

Montreal Families, a free monthly newspaper for parents and caregivers, recently showcased the work being done by ACCESS Open Minds. They specifically highlighted the work being done at the DLL site which includes art therapy, group counselling discussions, advice on managing symptoms, and other healthy lifestyle habits known to improve mental health and overall well-being.

Like all ACCESS Open Minds sites, the ACCESS OM Dorval-Lachine-LaSalle site strives to provide youth with an initial assessment within 72 hours and to more specialized services within 30 days. Every week, youth can access the drop-in space and can engage in a variety of activities like music programs or social activities. All programs are designed to support youth struggling with mental health challenges, but program manager Sophie Pouliot says that all youth who want to attend are welcome.

The Dorval-Lachine Youth Zone is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. for teens aged 12-17, and Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. for 18-25.

There is another ACCESS OM location at 7085 Hutchison St. in Parc-Extension open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
