Welcome to the ACCESS Open Minds website. By using this website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following terms and conditions. ACCESS OM reserves the right to update or revise these terms and conditions at any time without notice.
For the general public: ACCESS Open Minds aims to connect the audience of this website to youth mental health services in their community. This website does NOT offer clinical advice, and it should not replace proper mental health care. Young people and their families/carers seeking support for their mental health and wellness should consult a qualified mental health professional without delay. Where they are available, ACCESS OM sites can provide such assessment and treatment services for mental health concerns. If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis that might need urgent attention, please seek immediate help by calling 911, contacting Kids Help Phone, or going to the closest health clinic or emergency department.
For clinicians: The materials shared on ACCESS Open Minds’ public website (as well as in the password-protected intranet (MyACCESS) – including, but not limited to, training documents and videos) are intended solely for educational purposes. ACCESS OM cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage resulting from a person’s use of or reliance on this information. Any decisions made with respect to providing services or care to an individual person or family rests upon professional evaluation and judgment, in consultation with local supervision, and with the individual(s) seeking support.
Third-party sources: This website features links to external sites as well as resources and tools from third parties. ACCESS OM does not have control over the content found on websites other than its own and therefore cannot be held accountable for the suitability or reliability of such external content.

You may, in some circumstances, voluntarily supply ACCESS OM with your personal information (e.g. when you apply for a job at the central office or a service site, contact a clinician by phone or email, etc.). The project’s central office and ACCESS OM sites may collect, store, use, and disclose contact information as well as other personal information you have shared, and that is deemed relevant or necessary to conduct health and social research, provide service users with the care they need, etc.
ACCESS OM will not sell or trade the information collected with organizations outside of the ACCESS OM network, nor will the information be used to contact you on an ongoing basis for purposes other than what you originally agreed to. If you sign up to the ACCESS OM newsletter, for instance, your email address will only be used to send you the newsletter unless you explicitly opt into other email communications. You may opt out of receiving further communications from ACCESS OM at any time.
