ACCESS OM has teamed up with Wisdom2Action for a two-part interactive series about Shared Decision Making

Co-authored with members of our Youth and Family /Carers Councils, our recently published article outlines the implementation of shared decision making (SDM) in ACCESS OM’s activities and operations.

We have teamed up with Wisdom2Action to expand the discussion around SDM in the real-world through 2 upcoming fun and interactive events.

Workshop #1: Panel Discussion – Behind the Scenes
Live French interpretation will be available

A panel presentation from the authors to share insights on the paper’s collaborative writing process, to elaborate on key takeaways and discuss how this article will help shape practice. Attendees will gain further insight on how SDM has been adapted to research, clinical, capacity building and governance and tangible ways of mitigating challenges. Attendees will get their chance to share their stories, perspectives and experiences!

Workshop #2: Virtual World Café – Exploring Shared Decision Making: real-world, real-talk
If you haven’t participated in a World Cafe before, now is your chance to collaborate and exchange ideas with diverse people from many different backgrounds, experiences and contexts from all over Canada. During this 2 hour interactive (and fun!) session participants will listen to stories from different lenses and break out into small groups to answer key questions about SDM from their experiences and perspectives. A definite cure for your Zoom fatigue – this isn’t your normal webinar.
