The ACCESS Open Minds Park-Extension / Côte-des-Neiges team invites you to a workshop-discussion on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, as part of the Et si…? exhibit by the SHERPA Research Center.
Here are the details: How can art contribute to building bridges between communities and generations? Can creating space for dialogue and exchange moderate the division associated with social polarization? These two questions underlie the action research project Et si? where community groups from Parc-Extension, Ville Saint-Laurent, Hochelaga and Sainte-Foy neighbourhoods in Quebec City have created collaborative pieces.
From October 29, 2018 to January 13, 2019, these artistic achievements will be exhibited at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. Visitors will have the chance to follow the creative process of the participating groups as well as delve into their stories, telling the story of resilience to challenges, friendship, family and hope.
We hope that visitors can immerse themselves in the exhibition and actively participate in the exchange processes initiated by the works. To facilitate this goal, on Wednesday evenings, the SHERPA Research Center and the MMFA will host panels and art workshops at the Museum.
Schedule of upcoming artistic activities (5:00 pm to 7:00 pm): ● January 9, 2019: Art and mental health. By ACCESS Parc-Extension
